GSM and DCS Systems: is the acronym of the term Global System Mobile (global system of mobile communications). See more texting abbreviation definitions. - reception (up-link: from mobile to fixed): 890-915 MHz
The frequency bands used for DCS are:
- transmission (down-link: from fixed to mobile): 1850-1880 MHz
- reception (up-link: from mobile to fixed): 1710-1785 MHz
